Why 'Bits of Anār'?
Anār (انار) is the Dari word for pomegranate — the fruit Afghanistan is famous for. Kandahari anār are legendary: heavy, deep red, and packed with hundreds of seeds.
That’s the idea behind this blog’s name. Bits are the smallest unit of information a computer can hold; seeds are the smallest unit of an anār. Each post here is one seed — a small, self-contained bit of understanding about machine learning, world models, or reinforcement learning. None of them is the whole fruit. But seed by seed, bit by bit, it adds up.
